OUR POLICIES AND PROTOCOLS

Creating a happy and healthy environment is one of our top priorities. To achieve this in a mutually respectful way we have outlined our policies and protocols below. If you have any questions or concerns we'll be happy to elaborate further.

FOR EVERYONE'S SAFETY AND COMFORT

Attire

Make sure to wear comfortable workout clothing that allows you to move freely and comfortably whether upright or laying down with your feet in the air. We suggest restricting jewelry that hangs and may get caught on the equipment. And ladies, please don't forget to tie your hair back for the same reason. For those who like to dial it up to a nice fat-burning sweat, bring a towel along. Whenever possible refrain from wearing heavily fragranced lotions, perfumes and body washes as some members may be allergic.]

Tread Socks

Where running shoes or bare feet are not suitable, tread socks are suggested to ensure a good grip and avoid slippage. Both Toe Sox and Gaiam are recommended. You can purchase your own or borrow a pair from us. Tread socks are required for all PilatesStick classes.

Food & Beverages

Feel free to bring along drink or water bottles. Drinks are permitted throughout the studio in non-glass containers. Food on the other hand is not permitted in any of the workout areas.

Personal Belongings

While we cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items, we have provided baskets for your footwear when you're going barefoot and you can leave your valuables in the area provided right in the room where you'll be working out. Please make sure to silence your mobile phone and leave your cares behind.

Music

Sometimes music may be played within a class based on the fitness routine and/or the Instructor's discretion. While loud music is not generally played throughout the Club feel free to use an mp3 device attached to ear buds in the Cardio & Free Weight Studio.

MEMBERSHIPS


Freezes

Emergency Freezes: Memberships can be frozen for up to three months in the event of an emergency or unforeseen life change (medical, death or serious illness in the family, divorce, etc) with the proper documentation.

Discretionary Freezes: Memberships can be frozen in one week blocks based on contracted Membership Period:
12 month Up to 4 freezes
6 month Up to 2 freezes
3 month One week defined as 7 consecutive days

Upgrades & Transfers

We expect some clients may want to take advantage of the better prices our longer-term members enjoy, which is why we offer membership upgrades every three months. Unfortunately though memberships are not transferable.

Life Happens

Because life is full of little surprises, members receive 'Life Happens' cards to use towards a fee exemption in the event of a late cancellation or no show on the day:

GROUP CLASSES, CARDIO & FREE WEIGHTS


CARDIO AND FREE WEIGHTS

Is complimentary for all our members and guests taking a class or a personalized training session. No appointment is needed. Simply come in and enjoy an independent workout. Comfortable running shoes are recommended. For you own safety, please no flip-flops or slip on footwear. As a courtesy to other members, please wipe off the equipment after use. If you notice someone waiting to use the equipment please extend your session for no more than another 15 minutes. This shouldn't happen often but you'll appreciate this policy if you're ever the one waiting.

CLASSES

Our goal is to interact with our members during class so that everyone receives the attention they need to be successful. In order to do this we have opted to keep our class sizes small and more intimate. For that reason we ask that you follow these simple guidelines to help run things smoothly.

Schedule

Due to the limited number of all classes are by scheduled appointment. You can book a class in person, over the phone or on our website. Payment for your session is required in advance. Guests (non-members) should check at the front desk prior to attending any class to arrange payment.

Cancel

Any cancellations made at least 12 hours in advance of a scheduled class are fully refundable and not subject to any Cancellation Fees. However, for any classes cancelled within 12 hours or a no-show on the day a Cancellation Fee* will apply for Members and a refund will not be issued for Guests (non-members). Sorry, no exceptions. This includes any rescheduling within 12 hours. You can cancel in person, over the phone or on our website. Please no emails or texts at this time. We just wouldn't be able to cope and don't want to mix up anyone's schedule.
*Cancellation Fees are $25 for hour classes and $15 for half hour classes.

Arrive

Please arrive a few minutes early to check-in at the front desk. If everyone is ready on time then the instructor can start the class on time. Plus, you can enjoy the cardio and weights while you wait. Most classes run for 30 minutes and some members will be combining two classes to form a one-hour workout. If we're all being courteous of the schedule then things will run smoothly for everyone.

Latecomers

Life's little surprises happen sometimes and latecomers will be able to jump into a session within the first five minutes of a 30-minute class and within the first ten minutes of an hour-long class. If you arrive after these cut off periods we'll be happy to book you into the next class if there's space available but unfortunately, the missed session will not be refunded or the no-show on the day fee will apply.

Standing Reservation

We are pleased to provide our 12 and 6 month members with an ongoing standing reservation to accommodate their schedules. But please note that ongoing regular time slots will need to be reassigned if consistently missed more than one third of the time and a wait-list is pending. We will then do our best to find a schedule that better meets your needs.

Exercise Levels

We have opted not to brand our classes with levels such as Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced as this varies based on experience and overall fitness level. Rather we encourage all our clients to work through the programs to gain a high level of confidence in the following skills – knowledge of routine, strength then stamina/endurance. Listen to your body first and foremost.

The best advice we can give is to not get bogged down with 'advancing too quickly' or 'chasing the burn.' Ideally mix it up whenever you can. Remember that a muscle works regardless of the type of activity and if your muscles start to feel fatigued you actually need to give them a rest if you want to achieve real strength in your body. The objective is a lifestyle change rather than risking long-term pain for short-term gain.

Proper fitness is always a journey and never a destination.

In some cases, whether related to your personal safety or the safety of those around you, an Instructor may recommend specific classes or Personalized Training Sessions to hone your skills in a specific area. While it is not our intent to mandate specific workouts we hope you understand that should the need arise we reserve the right to withhold access to certain routines. We trust you understand that above all else, the safety and wellbeing of all our members will always be our top priority.

Instructors

Life happens to instructors as well, consequently your scheduled instructor may change and we apologize for any disappointment.

PERSONALIZED TRAINING SESSIONS


Pricing

Part of being a member means that you don't need to pre-purchase packs of Personalized Training sessions in order to receive your discount. For our Guests (non-members) we offer packs of five and/or ten sessions to take advantage of special discounted rates. These pre-paid packages are valid for three months from date of purchase unless otherwise noted in your Contract. Packages are not transferable to others however unused monies can be applied towards other services and/or an upcoming monthly membership fee(s).

Schedule

All classes are by scheduled appointment. You can book in person, over the phone or on our website. Payment for your session is required in advance. If not pre-paid please check at the front desk upon arrival to arrange payment.

Session Times

In order for your instructor to prep for your arrival and then journal your session afterward the actual times of each workout are 50 Minutes for an Hour Session and 25 Minutes for a Half Hour Session.

Cancel

A cancellation made 12 hours prior to an appointment is fully refundable. Unfortunately, we will not be able to refund any cancellation made within 12 hours or a no-show on the day. Sorry, no exceptions. This includes any rescheduling within 12 hours. Sessions can be cancelled in person, over the phone or on our website. Please no emails or texts at this time. We just wouldn't be able to cope and don't want o mix up anyone's schedule.

Duo Training Sessions

We are happy to offer members one-hour sessions for Duos at $100 per session ($50 per member).

Each partner within the duo is responsible for coordinating schedules amongst one another. When things don't go as scheduled the following fees and/or upgrades apply:
